New priority for regional migration?

Australia’s new Immigration Minister David Coleman has flagged a revamp of regional visas, saying some towns are begging for migrants. “That’s something I’m looking at very closely at the moment,” Mr Coleman told SBS Punjabi on Wednesday. “There are a number of different regional visa classes at the moment and one of the things I’m assessing is the effectiveness of each of those programs and potential ways of improving those.”

Canadian Working Holiday Makers – Age increased to 35. Australian Chamber – Tourism has announced that from 1 November 2018, Canadians up to the age of 35 will be able to apply for Working Holiday Maker visas. The relevant legislative instrument has not been updated yet. Hopefully more countries will follow.

Mr. Nicolaas Hendrik van Voorst van Beest helped with my partner visa application (sc. 309) and we (my partner and I) couldn't be more grateful. We lodged our initial application offshore in October 2023 and we were assigned a case officer from DoHA in November 2023. We were required to supply further documents, of which we submitted in December 2023. To our surprises, not only my visa (sc.309) was approved in February 2024, but I was also granted a permanent residency visa sc.100 at the same time! At the time of writing this review, I have safely returned to Australia to be with my partner and enjoying our life together. I have to add that I was recommended to Nick by my family member, whom also applied for a partner visa successfully. So the results and the records are testament to Nick's expertise.
